Prague, Czech Republic

Yet another weekend in a different country...and another unforgettable experience! We were there for 4 nights, so we fit quite a bit in. It all started on Valentines Day, when we flew Sky Europe from Rome to Prague...

At first, we were all sad that this budget airline didn't give us free food like all the other airlines we've flown...but it turned out to be the most interesting flight I've ever been on! At first I was wondering what the posters on the overhead compartments meant...then I found out we were about to be a part of setting a world record! First one of the flight attendants came on saying, "For Valentines Day, we have a special treat for you." It was an exquisite heart-shaped chocolate...I was thrilled because I wasn't expecting any candy that day! Then the captain came on and said, "This Valentines day we are trying to set the world record for the most kisses in the air in one day. So please kiss somebody and you will receive a free ticket with Sky Europe." It was crazy! Suddenly a camera crew in the front row stood up and everyone who had someone started making out. Luckily Steph and I were on the flight with two of the boys from the program. It was quite hilarious and the most fun flight I've ever been on! Of course, the "free ticket" only ended up being one-way and only to Prague or Vienna. We didn't care though, it was quite the way to spend Valentines Day. Then the day got even better when we got to Prague and ate a great dinner with lots of beer...
"I love the scenery in Prague" poster at the airport...I guess it's all you need to see in Prague.
Our cheap tasty liter of beer...and after, me and Patrick still had room for a half liter. The food in Prague is soooo good, I've never had anything like it! Amazing dumplings, goulash, lots of meat, and potato pancakes.

We felt loaded with all the Czech money...too bad it was so hard to figure out how much we were paying for anything!
The Astronomical Clock is at the bottom of the above picture - it is one of the coolest clocks I have ever seen because at every hour it is a huge production with bells, and little figures that come out and dance!

Then we went to yet another sex museum - this time it was the Sex Machine Museum. Mostly it just scared me, look at the ceiling!
This reminded me of the "Christmas Story" lamp
On Friday morning at 10am, Coma had to check the internet and call his bank. Patrick and I just smoked hookah at the internet cafe. What a great way to start the day...

The beautiful restaurant that Rick Steve's recommended

On Saturday we ventured off to Kutna Hora to see the Sedlec Kostnice, a huge bone chapel crypt that reminded me of seeing the catacombs in Paris. The train ride out to Kutna Hora was crazy - one minute we were in snow...the next it was bright and sunny.

The Chapel was quite creepy - Kutna Hora is a very small, almost desolate Czech town about an hour away from Prague. A giant graveyard leads to the Chapel, where you enter and see thousands upon thousands of bones...

Patrick had the inside scoop from his cousin who used to live in Prague, and he took us to this super cheap restaurant that served "Giraffes" of beer...I seriously don't know how we drank it all!

On Sunday and I Patrick and I went to the town of Plzen where the Pilsner Brewery is. The tour of the factory was soo much fun!
