St. Patty's in Ireland

It's every college student's dream come true...Spending St. Patrick's Day in the motherland of Dublin. And amazingly enough...it was everything I dreamed it to be! Everybody is there, in the bars at 11am, ready to party - hard. Then the bars close before 2, probably because everyone is passed out already. Dublin is basically a big University town with a high concentration of bars, Trinity College, the Guinness Factory, St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Guinness Factory. Being in Ireland was unlike any other experience I had in Europe - probably because everyone speaks English, and no other country parties like the Irish. And of course, Guinness really only tastes good while you're in Ireland. Enjoying our first Guinness

Really buying into the Guinness Brand...

St. Patrick's Day Parade ~ I don't even remember the last time I went to a real parade, so it was great being in the front row of the busy parade. There were a lot of random acts that walked through the parade, including the band from Shorecrest highschool in Washington - that was a shocker.

Later that day we ventured to the free Irish Dancing concert, which was also quite a trip with tons of people dancing and just vibing to the music.

Later on St. Patty's Day, we went out to the bars for the big celebration. We ran into a group of pilots, firefighters, and flight attendants that we met at the Guinness Factory. All of them were veterans of being in Dublin for St. Patrick's, so we followed them and ended up having the craziest night of the trip.
